People search for a house that ‘speaks’ to them. We seek a relationship with a house.
Just like in a love relationship, there is the immediate physical attraction, and then we experience the magic of potential. We imagine and adjust until the fit works. This can happen several times in a lifetime because we grow out of relationships (and houses) and need change!
Your home represents your personal style, which is how you choose to live your life. This is not a frivolous thing and this is why buying a house is a Big Deal! Beyond the money, beyond how many bedrooms and baths, in the end, the quest is all about YOU. You will want or need to change your environment and style according to life’s developments. This is why I find it so satisfying to find the right house for the right owner…it is match-making in every sense.
My unique background in design, research and development in the fashion industry (Holt Renfrew, Heaven Cashmere) enhances my awareness as a Realtor. My work has taken me around the world, enriching my perspective and connectivity. I bring creativity, resourcefulness, and the highest level of intuitive listening to your service when buying or selling a home.
I have moved many times in my life. Toronto, Montreal, Eastern Townships, Ottawa, Hamilton, Oakville several apartments/houses/studios in the past 30 years back here in Toronto in Queen Street East and West, The Annex, Riverdale, East York, Hillcrest/Wychwood and more...
In 2002, my family moved to the gorgeous Rattray Marsh area in Clarkson, Mississauga. ’Gasp!…the End of the World!' Mais Non! As a West Island girl from Montreal, I was drawn to the Water and the Big Sky. It is Heavenly here. Not far from town at all. Clarkson Go to Union takes 20 minutes and there are many different routes to drive in. I know. I get around.
Our two sons have attended McMurrich, Regal Road and Brown in Toronto and then Owenwood, Green Glade, Lorne Park and Cawthra Park schools in Mississauga, U of Guelph and Humber. My husband Bill Boyko is an acclaimed illustrator, fine artist and interior painter (www.billboyko.com). We have renovated several houses ourselves because we are visual people who are driven to express our personal style within budget . I love preparing a house for sale. (See ‘Staging’ for some before and after pics).
Imagination is Everything (especially when everything isn't affordable).
I have added deep knowledge of the communities of Oakville, Clarkson, Lorne Park, Port Credit and the western shoreline of Toronto, Long Branch, New Toronto, Mimico to the east and Oakville and Burlington to the west - and of course the condo and house market of downtown because I go where my leads lead me, and that is often in the city. I do bridge both worlds. It is important to work with a realtor who can do more than show you houses. You need to understand where you will be living….everything…schools, amenities…the insider stuff that makes life good.
The importance of expressing your personal style, within any budget or circumstance, is something I relate to. I will share my life experience and dedicate enormous energy and resourcefulness to help you achieve yours. Whether helping you prepare and list your house for sale and/or to help you find your next home, I will be an important asset for your real estate experience.
Call me...we'll talk about it!
